Chapped lips are painful, annoying and not nice to look at. AT ALL. A lot of girls have this problem, including me. So here are a few tips to get rid of the ugly pucker dilemma:
1. First and foremost, BREAK THE LIP-LICKING HABIT. Chapped or not, this is definitely not a good idea. You may think this deed is giving your lips moisture, but actually this can contribute to chapping by drying them further.
2. Drink lots of water. It is most likely that you have this condition because of dehydration.
3. When brushing your teeth, don’t forget to include your lips, scrubbing very very gently, using a soft touch. Take note, use extremely soft (preferably) circular motions, you don’t want to damage your lips further. :)
4. Before you sleep, apply a thin layer of preferably unscented and unflavored lip balm. A good balm will do the trick in just a few days and your lips will look softer in two - three days!
Remember, that chapped lips don’t go away overnight. You just really have to be patient in taking better care of your lips. It will all be worth it when you can pucker up with better and softer lips! :)
